Having a hard time concentrating. Watching a tree crew take down a fruitless mulberry that we planted from a switch 42 years ago. My kids and grandkids had great times climbing in that old tree. Gave us years and years of shade. Always told that 20 years was expected lifespan....not here. This is the second to be taken down in two weeks. One more is going next week. Really good friends. The time has come and we have been starting other trees such as red oak, pecan, crepe myrtle and live oak to take their places. Hear the phrase all the time.....trash tree.....no such thing.
