OK, I've got a question for you experts.

Since all my hummers (and most other birds) have headed South, I have time to go through the hundreds of pics I quickly put on hold during the Summer.

This one puzzles me. I thought the eye of a Ruby-throated hummer was either black or close to it. This pic shows a distinct blue eye that I first thought was a reflection but there was nothing blue elsewhere in the vicinity that could have possibly caused this.

I've included the original (the bottom pic) straight from the camera to prove it was actually captured and not some residual effect from post processing.

OK, Resin, Pelle and you others who have been keeping a low profile, please give me your thoughts.
