1. What is your first name? Dawn (duh, gave it away in my user name.)

2. What is your favorite overall plant and why? Probably crinum, I love bulbs, and these super tough heirlooms live forever, (or something close to forever.)

3. What is your favorite tree and why? Red Buckeye, gorgeous flower.

4. What is your favorite shrub and why? Hmmmm, maybe sweet olive, love the heavenly fragrance.

5. What is your favorite perennial and why? Salvias! Tough, most are draught tolerant and long blooming, they come in just about any color, hummers and butterflies love them.

6. What is your favorite annual and why? Sweet alyssum. You can stick it anywhere and it smells sweet.

7. What is your favorite vine and why? Love vines! I will never be without a Moon Flower Vine, but I think I would have to choose either Corkscrew or Coral Vine.

9. What is your favorite houseplant and why? Don't do houseplants anymore.

8. Do you garden organically? Yes!

9. How long have you been gardening? On and off since forever, gardening seriously the last 5 or 6 years.

10. How long have you owned your current home? 20 years

11. Do you compost? Yes!

12. What is your favorite insect and why? Love the common garden spider, they eat grasshoppers and I hate grasshoppers!

13. What is your favorite bird and why? I think the barn swallow, because they nest over my front door and eat mosquitoes.

14. What are some of your other interests? Family, photography, baking, hiking, reading (when I have time, which lately is rarely.)

15. Do you have pets/livestock? What are they? 1 dog, 3 cats, 1 rabbit.

16. Do you live in the city, in a suburb, or in the country? Country, but city is moving in fast!

17. What is the biggest problem you've had with gardening? Clay soil, resembles concrete!

18. Where have you found the best/most information about gardening? I love to read, but Dave's Garden has opened the doors to so many talented and knowledgeable gardeners.

19. Are you addicted to gardening? Seriously addicted. See this article by Felder Rushing, one of my gardening heroes. My family says that describes me to a T. http://www.felderrushing.net/node/35

20. Post your favorite gardening pic! Can not possibly pick just one, but here is one I took last weekend.
