2. What is your favorite overall plant and why? hoyas because their flowers are so intricate and smell good and they are so diverse

4. What is your favorite shrub and why? I'm not sure....do lilacs count as a shrub? I know they don't do well here, but in Ohio I loved them because they were so fragrant in spring

5. What is your favorite perinnial and why? salvias because they can take sun, heat, and drought and still look great

6. What is your favorite annual and why? cosmos because they look great anywhere and butterflies love them

7. What is your favorite vine and why? passionvine because I love all the gulf fritillary butterflies in my yard

11. Do you compost? no, not enough room in my little yard

12. What is your favorite insect and why? butterflies because there are so many different beautiful kinds

13. What is your favorite bird and why? hummingbirds because I love how they flit around the feeders

14. What are some of your other interests? music, reading, whatever I can find time for when I'm not studying or in the lab

15. Do you have pets/livestock? What are they? 1 dog-Jasper, 2 cats-Ivy and Sebastian

16. Do you live in the city, in a suburb, or in the country? suburb

17. What is the biggest problem you've had with gardening? lately-grasshoppers.....grrr, and no rain
