My verbena grows about 2 1/2 -5 ft, depending on the location. These are in afternoon shade and are 2 1/2 ft, the ones in full sun get taller. I shear them about half in late July for another nice long round of blooms for August through Fall. If you deadhead them, every other week or so they'll keep blooming their hearts out. I even grow them in containers to provide a screen from my neighbors on the back patio. Although it's noted that they can be invasive, I have yet to experience that. Maybe the KS snow keeps them in check. I love their airy flight above the flowers and they do not require stalking. These are wintersown and they're easy from seed, blooming in late Spring till Fall. However, this will be my first year saving seeds from the bonariensis.. don't know why I never collected seeds from these before, so I welcome the opportunity to do so this year.
