We really enjoyed making the praying mantis for Kristi. We started out making skeeters. (see photo attached) It just seems that critters are the most likely things to go into gardens. So now, we've graduated to mantises and dragonflies. :-)

Cath's Mermaid will be the next one we work on. We've got all kinds of ideas on that one. I've been googling mermaids like crazy. I do that with each of our sculptures for reference on musculature, etc. I collect photos, send them to Connie (because we work at her house) and then we decide body poses, etc.

This is the beginning of the end of Connie's busy season for tinting, so we have to work around her schedule. The window tinting is what puts food on her table. Connie has tools AND a big air conditioned shop to work in. Here is Southeast Texas, having that AC is a major plus!!! Especially when working with torches.
