The grassy area in front of the wall faces the outdoor fireplace & BBQ pit he built from digging up the bricks from the first beehive oven from 1763 and reconfiguring them into an outdoor cooking area. We cook corn over the fire in the fireplace and cook everything else on the BBQ pit. Above the fireplace you can see the old grinding stone we found when we were digging up the bricks. It became an ornament for the chimney. He had to add a few modern bricks to finish the armitures. The sides are stones from the meadow. We use it all summer.
