I lost 9 huge, healthy garden varieties, that literally drowned to death, and all the hibs in the round pots closeup were severely suffering from root rot, among other horrible things. When I dug my hibs out of the ground, in this particular spot, the odor was enough to make me gag!

This is the reason all my hibs are in pots, except for one safe area they can grow in the ground. Hopefully, when I get my income tax refund, I will be able to afford to put a drainage system in, but for now, pots with stone underneath them, works really well :)
