Well.
One day, after all her effort, my dog caught a squirrel.
Except she crushed its insides and killed it.
I sat with the squirrel and watched it die.
I cried.
I believe that the other squirrels saw me and they just KNEW.
I never got along with squirrels before that day.
And now, squirrels come near me.
They look at me for long periods of time.
They just KNOW that I have compassion for their kind, and they're cool with me.
Is this crazy?
