I am glad that so many of you liked the picture of our cul-de-sac's cherry trees. The City of Surrey planted different varieties of flowering cherry trees along the border with the street in many areas of this city. We all love the bright pink variety that we got. It was a treat to get away from the trees they planted along our street border when we lived in Vancouver. All summer long they dripped sap on the cars parked underneath them. Our visitors complained because not even the car wash could take it off so we bought a bunch of tarps and would drape their cars with a tarp until they left. We found this came in handy for visitors in winter too as the car windows stayed frost-free so no scraping.
