I bought a Dragon Fruit at the grocery store a few weeks ago, let it ripen to mushy-soft, cut it open and laid the wedges on soil amendment for the flies and other insects to clean up, and now I have dozens of seedlings coming up. Dragon Fruit is the seedpod of the hylocereus cactus which is another epiphytic cactus.
