Rain I was so glad when you had said that my strep leaves hadn't come up for you yet cause I thought I was doing something wrong with the ones you traded me for as they hadn't produced for me. I put them down like you did (like an AV leaf) which was a first for me, I'd been having success with taking the veins out and laying the whole leaf down but I really wanted the ones from you to succeed so I did it the AV way. I did put them down in those square plastic baby food containers and I can see a lot of roots so I have high hopes. My son was a bit enthusiastic with the watering of them when I was gone but I'm still hoping they will soon be looking like Tractor Beam does for you now! Kitten Face is still the healthiest looking leaf and has the best root system so I'm excited. I've had an episcia called Scarlet Ribbons for a long long time. I barely kept it alive for months and then I finally joined DG and saw that the episcias like extra humidity so I put her in a terrarium and she was finally happy. Yesterday I was walking by the terrarium and got a blast of color, Scarlett Ribbons had bloomed and she is a beauty!! If I had a decent camera you'd really be able to tell but here's a semi clear shot. She is a beautiful coraly pink with white edges and a yellow throat! ~Brenda This message was edited Aug 29, 2007 1:54 PM |
