plantladylin wrote: Oh Wow! That is really pretty! I have one Pet that came from Rob's as a freebie plant ... first and only Petrocosmea I've ever tried ... it's P. barbata and hasn't bloomed yet but I'm hoping it will survive and bloom. I planted it in a glass jar and it seems to be spreading out too and taking over the jar ... I'm wondering if I should remove it to a pot now or wait awhile? It also looks odd to me in the center ... very tight or maybe suckering. I don't know anything about these plants so I'm not sure if I should mess with it or leave it be. I'm so afraid if I repot it, it will die. Can you tell from this picture if it looks like it should or is it suckering, or do these plants even produce suckers? l lifted up the top leaves and there are some teeny little leaves underneath on one side of the plant, so I'm wondering if it's making new little plantlets. I've been thinking of ordering another Petrocosmea but want to make sure I'm doing alright by this one first before subjecting another one to a possible demise! |
