Good for you, Betty. It does feel good to fulfill promises/obligations, doesn't it?

No damage to speak of here. A few glads needed propped back up and a few small branches to pick up but no harm done.

Posting pie wedge steps picture, as promised. Note the lovely carpet remnants? (How could you not? lol) With three dogs and a man that I have not, as of yet, been able to teach to wipe his feet, these work for us. Cut up a few remnants, spray adhesive them down and just rip those that get icky up and spray and slap down a new piece, as needed. Takes all of two minutes. During the spring thaw, it gets done quite frequently, the rest of the year, not so much. Told y'all we were...ahem, somewhat laid back here on the farm, didn't I?

I used to be a total type A when it came to organization and keeping a pristine, perfectly ordered house but have been much happier (and calmer) since I decided to loosen up in that respect. Actually, this change came about from gardening. When we moved here, I ended up with tons of flowerbeds, too many to keep everything formal without going insane so now I subscribe to the wild look....grow where you will and if you pop up in the wrong place, you either get yanked or moved, as the mood strikes. It was the only way for me to actually enjoy the garden rather than look at it through eyes that only saw what needed to be done...in other words, it became labor of work instead of one of joy. That attitude gradually spread to other aspects of daily life. Basically, don't sweat the small stuff, I guess pretty much sums it up. I still have a comfort zone as to what’s important to me to keep “in order”. The kitchen area must be neat and clean and the bed must be made, the bath kept clean, other than that…. I’ll get to it when the weather turns, or not, lol. I used to vacuum the entire house two or sometimes three times a day…I’m telling you, it was bad. My kids want to know what happened to mommy, the drill sergeant, the one they grew up with, whom has now been replaced with this new one that sees a piece of straw, or a leaf on the floor and walks right past it, thinking “Oh, look, a piece of dirt on the floor…must remember to clean that up…..later”.

Back out to plant…ttyl…..this pic was taken standing on the third floor, at the top of the steps looking down into the living room……

Edited because spellcheck is not foolproof...
