Also, I believe mine has powdery mildew; is that common with Dahlias? Actually I am having a bad year with the powdery mildew. That mahogany Monarda I posted back on one the the threads was in a bed next to a big patch of zinnias and both were destroyed by the mildew. I had to cut the Monarda totally down to nothing (baby leaves growing back, whew!) and rip out all the zinnias. I even have it on my cosmos and coreopsis. I have been really conscious this year to not get water on the plants in the evening, and none of the affected plants are/were crowded. Anyone else having mildew issues?

Pixie- Nice poppy! I have been trying to grow them for 2 years but have had no luck getting blooms. One of my favorite flowers.

Al- I agree that your butterfly picture is a winner! Love the coneflower bed too. Which cultivar is the white one?

Kassia- What Zinnia is that big orange one? Gorgeous!
