Here is a F2 seedling from a seed that came to me labeled as an open-pollinated I. youjiro 'Yagurama'. The flower looks a little like Patootie's Star of India, but it's on a deer-chewed vine that has since sent out many vigorous side-vines from the denuded leaf axils as well as clambered into the yew hedge - something I don't see the I. nils doing here - I'm thinking it's those I. purpurea genes beefing up the vine & shoots. Also, the color is much more of a deep, dark, velvety purple with fuchsia highlights that I do not have a clue how to get unless I photograph the flower indoors (any tips are welcome).

But, ain't it purty?
