I have a larger plant of HLS and I could do a demo of a crown cutting on it. What happens when the original plant has it's crown removed is that it will send up numerous suckers in it's place which you can in turn remove and root for more plants. I have done this many times. Or, you can just enjoy growing yours for a while till it blooms. I'll send along a photo of Harmony's Little Stinker (chimera foliage) in bloom. Also, nothing wrong with what you are doing with your kohlerias. In fact, I think they look great nice and full with multiple stems. Plantladylin - very nice gift! |
