We have a local homeless man who is constantly walking and never breaks stride (I call him 'Walking Man'). Every now and again he will be covered head to toe in something black - like charcoal. I have no idea what it is or where he gets (into) it, but he looks like the old time performers in 'black face'. His eyes and mouth are flesh colored while the rest of his face is totally black. I'd ask him what it is.......but he won't stop walking long enough to answer! LOL!

Like Red above, DH and I are probably considered the 'odd' ones around here. We recently adopted some roosters to help control ticks on our rural property (we are transplanted city folks). We were told they would roost in the trees. Well, the third night we discovered they were roosting in my flower baskets on our front porch! Not having a coop for them yet, I didn't have the heart to make them leave and then be killed by our many predators so that means hosing off the porch every day. Roosters eat lots of bugs.....then you know what else they do a lot of! It's a good thing we rarely have anyone come to the front door!
