Also saw the usual Pipevines, Gulf Frits, GSTs and there's were hundreds of Snouts on the move again. Also seems to be an emergence of Common Mestras and Buckeyes. Never have been able to find what Common Mestras use as a larval host (tragia) but there's gotta be lots of it because there were lots on the wing. There's plenty of native plantago for Buckeyes but I have yet to see any caterpillars...and even less likely, their elusive eggs. ~ Cat |
