Hi y'all!

You know I love to trade seeds since I have had delicious luck with seeds from DGers this year! I was wondering if some of you might be interested in doing a Round Robin for EACH ..... Butterfly NECTAR Plant seeds ...... AND ...... also a RR seed trade for HOST plant seeds?

I, personally, would be interested in BOTH RR seed trades.

Here is how it works. We first set a participation limit ..... say 10-15 people for EACH RR.
Rules are simple, DG subscribers only .... preferably folks from this Forum. Host seeds in one large bubble envie and Nectar seeds in another large bubble envie. I will start it off with say 25-30 seed packets. I will get a list started by number of the order you signed up. I will be number 1 and then will send the envie to the person who is number 2 on the list of each RR. That person will take out as many packs as you like, replace with an equal number of seed packs, of equal quality. (No more than 2 packs of the same seeds in the bubble envie at a time.) Then #2 adds number #3 participant name & address to the front of the envie and spends the postage to mail it on and so forth. If the robin travels quickly, we could consider sending it around for a second trip.

If there is enough interest. I will start 2 RR threads (One for host and one for nectar seeds).

I thought this might be a great way to share some of our butterfly loving plant seeds with others and to also get some seeds you'd like to try growing!

This thread is strictly to see who might be interested to see if either of these RR would fly! If you think you might be interested in participating, post here on this thread and tell me which seed RR you'd be interested in .... Nectar, Host, or both! And also let me know when you'd like to start this in the Fall (after we have all had time to collect some seeds from our gardens or out and around from our community). October, November, or December??? Each packet of seeds must be labeled with the common and scientific names as well as who they are from and the month & year they were harvested from your plants. The fresher the seeds... the better! Commercial seed packets with 2008 planting expiration would also be acceptable for those that don't have many plant seeds to harvest in your yard yet.

If this doesn't fly, that's okay. I just thought it would be fun, so I am testing the possibilities to see what amount of interest there is here for these 2 RRs. Thanks!
