It is not necessary to pre-arrange trades for the swap. Arranging some trades in advance works well for some people, especially if they keep those plants separate from the ones that are generally available when they set up their plant area at the swap. But there will be plenty of plants available for swapping regardless.

Even if you don't want to pre-arrange any swaps, this list is a good way to see what people are interested in from you and to know what other people might have available. Feedback on this thread can let you know if you should dig up every lilac start you have, or if there are only 2 people who don't yet have black-eyed susans in their garden, or if nobody but nobody wants any more of my Chocolate Mint!
