I have found a couple of other flies with orange backs, but the thorax on this one matches well where the others don't. The leg colour also matches. http://www.diptera.info/photogallery.php?album_id=2 I found it's larvae are leaf miners, this fly I have seen twice and it runs around constantly on leaves, the second time when I got some reasonable pics it was on a strawberry leaf. Good larvae food? The family Anthomyiidae we don't have. |
