All my efforts weren't enough.. and as I transplanted one of my Amorphas, I placed the baby in the hole about 6" deeper than the bottom. Then it poured down rain. Josephine the pic is Jim and Debi's from NNNursery in GA. .. (Maybe I should put that in the post, but it is the same pic as in their link.) Mine still haven't bloomed either. When it does I will tell you first, :-)! Cool you found an Io, those are so beautiful! So far I haven't seen them in my yard. Cat~ Looks like you found some good deals on Pawpaw and everything. I have one too...now y'all know I'm stretchin my luck (nuts), thinking I could get a ZST here. I'm glad I have a Pp now though, for the offchance a few might fly through on their way to Michigan from the Big Thicket. From what I know about Pawpaw is they have a very long tap root, if it is broken or damaged in any way, the tree will not survive. It came in a 4"x4"X12" pot and I dug a hole about 4' deep. All I did was inquire of prices and shipping to wildfowers website, and Mike just sent me everything I asked about with a bill. The prices were pretty good anyway, so I sent a check. It was funny not getting a reply, but he seems to trust his customers a lot just to ship all that merchandise without getting a payment first. Chris~ Its been a lot of fun working in the garden, spiritual even.. I see something, and I have to learn everything I can about it. There will always be that much more that I don't know. That's why I'm lucky to be here at DG. We are never at a lack for resources. :-Deb |
