I hated my house color when I bought it - rusty orange. But now, I have dark brown steel siding. In fact I had to pay extra fro that color, and I chose it to accentuate my landscape. (Plus, brown is my favorite color.) I don't have flower gardens right next to my house (mostly). It's trees and shrubs. The yellow blooms of my wichhazel against the dark brown in October and November really dazzles me, as does the yellow flowers of my Cornelian Cherry in the very early spring. And I am telling ya, no color better complements the fall colors of the landscape.
