Was out at the ranch working on the area around the pond. Dad took the riding lawnmower out there and mowed the grass. Mom and I use machetes to lop off branches too close to the ground. I was trying to cut from higher up and was working the pruners over my head...but just when we were finishing up the last couple of trees the pruners slipped and I got hit right on the lip! Needles to say, I've got a cut lip and it hurts!!! Could've been worse...at least I didn't break my nose or hit my eye!!! Anyway, I gave up and decided I'd take the chainsaw out there next weekend and just cut the overhanging branches from the main trunk and trim up the others I'd already lopped off.

Took a break and watched a Pipevine lay eggs on the native Swanflower. :o)
