As for butterflies ~ we had alot of monarc's last yr especially; also have viceroys, red-spotted purple, eastern tiger swallowtails (black & yell form) and I just identified red admirals.

getting back on your theme of a *** Floriferous Fourth ***...our patriotic colored blooms were blue hydrangea, red monarda and white daisies & hydrangeas!
