Hi guys! ; ) Been such a busy day. I've finally found a few ways I can be involved and boy am I beat! But it feels so good. ; )

Gessiegail, I am so sorry to see that it is so close to your house. I absolutely know that feeling you must be experiencing.

Tir, I really don't think they will earmark those funds just for us, but we've already been promised quite a bit. ; D There are so many rumors about FEMA right now, and I honestly don't know what it true. But this is the last I've heard- that they will only go to counties that the governor has declared a disaster area. Lane is on the far, far corner of the county- 1 mile from Miami County (which is a disaster county) and 3 miles from Anderson County (which is a disaster county). But technically, we live in Franklin County, which has not been declared a disaster county. So they may help the people in Osawatomie, but we are not depending on them to come here. Then again, everything we've heard regarding them are just rumors. No one from FEMA has come to Lane OR Osawatomie that we have heard of. People with houses flooded in Lane actually have to go to Osawatomie for public shelter because there's no place for them here. You are so sweet to be so worried about us. ; ) By the way, I saw yesterday they were starting up a new Bingo game- you should play with us- it's really fun. ; )

Most of the flooding has gone down. I took a few more pictures, but I'll wait for the disaster in Taft to be over before posting them. Except one- remember this house?

The girl who lives here had some pictures developed and had me scan them. I'll just share one of the scans here. The house looks 10 times worse now that it is getting torn apart, but I guess any house would. And it is super smelly...I left there with a mega headache.
