OK, I won't keep you all on pins and needles any more! HAHAHAHA

Yesterday afternoon, Connie and I were wandering around Home Depot in the Garden Department. Connie needed some clay saucers, so we walked by the beautiful statuary. I saw a gorgeous lady about 2 ft. tall that I really wanted. She was $24.99. I didn't NEEEEEEEEEED her though, so I kept on walking. I got to the other side of the statues and saw one that someone evidently had dropped. A big chunk of her neck was missing. Connie and I "conferred" and she said she knew how to repair it. So I told her I was going to see about getting it discounted. She said to me, "We're at Home Depot and NOT Lowe's. They never mark anything down here." I said, well they sure won't if I never ask. So I went to find someone to help.

The first HD lady wandered over to where I was talking about and said that only a manager could discount it. I said, then I want to talk to a manager. She said she'd go find one. I stood there and waited, and waited, and waited. It was hot and I felt like I was beginning to melt. So I went looking for someone else. I found a nice HD man. I asked if he was the manager. He wasn't but asked me what I needed. So I gave him my "spiel". Poor lady, no one will ever want to buy her. I'm willing to try and repair her, but would like a discount. He said, let's go see what she rings up at. So he punched in her "number", and it came up 24.99. He acted like he was only going to give me a few bucks off, so I said, I'll give you $15 for her. He hesitated a bit, then said, OK. So he wrote up a new price ticket for her and I brought her home.

Here she is. Awaiting major surgery.
