bbrookrd wrote: Sure, Brent and Becky has them. Here are some other that were still in bloom on Memorial Day. 'Flaming Spring Green' 2 pictures of this elegant gal. Maybe my favorite. 'Flaming Parrot' 2 pictures It went from yellow to white, but never got muddy. 'Orange Favorite' 2 pictures of this wild orange & a touch of green that is almost too bright 'Estella Rijnveld' 2 pictures, she had a long run and was surprisingly sturdy. Rather bold 'Eyecatcher' 1 picture. I can't find it this year and we loved it. It opened on May 7 and was still looking good at the end of May. We have a dear friend who's family has had a summer home in NE Harbor for years, but she doesn't go up until later in the season, and sadly, her mom died this winter ,so who knows when she will go. But we have been up there often in May as we love Me best out of season. I was in Prout's Neck last week, so maybe next year I can get DH to plan a Memorial day trip that includes your garden. We could hit Surry gardens on the way. I love the walk up to Thuya Gardens ( view is spectacularly ). I like that little garden across from the Asticou Inn, too. My dogs favorite place is the walk to the Rockerfeller boathouse on Little Long Pond. My DH likes it over in SW Harbor as he owned the Nantucket Boatyard for years, so he loves going down to Hinckley. So we will be tempted by your open garden come next spring. Patti |
