That first flower is definitely purple and the magenta in the throat follows the folds in the flower so I suspect a ray pattern may be hiding in there? It seems impossible to capture the true depth of the colors here on this one. I plan on growing it again in mass to see the affect and to see if there are any interesting genes hiding in there.

Here is the light blue one with the fancy foilage. I thought it looked refreshing settled in the natural setting with the pink crape myrtles.
