My name - I have two rather elderly greatdanes. One is named Candy, she was my grandkid's dog and my dog (the white one) name is Braveheart, although he is a little misnamed - should really be Chicken ****. He really is a gentle soul and my constant companion. We brought Candy to live with us when we moved because she was fretting without Braveheart when the kids moved out.

Since coming to the island we have inherited six feral cats. A momma cat had kittens under our ohana and of course we had to keep them. We had quite a job catching them to take them to the vet to be spayed and neutered, but now they are becoming quite tame and will occasionally let you pet them. We live in a constant state of armed truce between the dogs and the cats, but truth be told, the dogs really have no heart in the chase and they know perfectly well they can't catch them - the cats know it too, and sashay around just out of reach.

Our next door neighbor has a blue macaw named Nitro. It lives in their tree completely unrestrained and without his wings clipped. Free to come and go at will. Unfortunately he has taken to calling Braveheart's name whenever he sees him, and the poor dog rushes outside to see who is calling him. He hasn't caught on yet!
