Planted my new Upside-down tomato planter tonight...Was going to do herb's on top, but succumbed to Flowers and vines as I plan on doing herbs in the newly orderered "stacking planter" I posted earlier in this thread. There are 4 holes for tomatoes so I figured I would try 4 different varieties to see which does best - Bonnie Select, Early Girl, Roma and Marglobe - an heirloom tomato. May have overdid it in the flower department though - Angelonia, Sunpatience, Coleus and the coolest sweet potato vine that is a sage green color with a little pink going through it! Tucked a couple little basil plants in the back though. The top planter is 25" square and about 10 inches deep, so hopefully there will be enough room. Hopefully, everybody gets along! |
