Ok let me show you my driveway if you want to see a mess. Grammy - I know what you mean about the downside of bridal wreath spirea but it occupies a special place in my heart because both my grandmothers had it and I will always think of them when I see it. To me it has a very loving, comfortable feeling associated with it. On the other hand I loathe any variety of Rose of Sharon because the year I went to Kindergarten was a tough year for the family and I had babysitters all the time that I didn't like. We had R of S in our backyard and I used to sit under it and notice how black and sticky the leaves were - clearly had aphids! Isn't it funny how we have these emotional associations with plants? I think I have more with plants than I do with food. |
