I order a lot of seed from Silverhill in S.Africa. Mostly summer growing bulbs and winter herbaceous flowers. Most of the time some species make it. I would guess that I have about a 60% success rate, not a sterling performance. I don't have the equipment you have access to, I just toss them into a pot of good soil. I have a great success with cuttings.
