Your first Bloom is a pretty one, however, your Bloom looks like Heavenly Blue to me. Blue Star is much a much lighter 'Sky-Blue' Color with a very definite *star*.

I haven't grown Blue Star in a while, but it continues to remain one of my favorites. We are in a similar climate and last year my Heavenly Blue Blooms did remain open most of the day. Not sure how they bloom in other climates, but maybe others will give you their experiences. When the weather starts to cool down at the end of the year, my Heavenly Blue Blooms stayed open all day and into the night. Also, they would change colors turning to a Lavender color at the end of the day with a Bright Lavender Star. STUNNING!
