I have a little postscript to the chickadee family saga. There has been no activity at the box so I opened it and took the little nest out. I thought you all might like to see it. It was totally made of soft green moss and lined with the silkiest ragdoll cat hair lol! What a great nest to grow up in.

I'm wondering if there was only one chick because I have seen the baby following the parent all around the yard and learning lessons. It is so cute - yesterday they visited the meal worm feeder and the baby copies everything the parent does. First, hop onto the dish, them swish the oatmeal filler around with your beak until you find the worm. The baby had lots of fun flinging oatmeal all over the place! Obviously a very gifted child!!
