Same thing happened with a neighbors red oak some years ago and he used chelated iron. Took a while but it finally turned green. Did not know about ES at the time. I have used it on absolutely everthing this year and the results speak for themselves. The Japanese Maple has been in the same place for 3 years and only after using ES did it turn red for the first time.
