I think you are right Deb., although some have much darker eyes. Mine is closer to Nanho Blue, which is the one I think I found before, the wide habit and silvery leaves match too. It does have an orange eye with a yellow edging, as far as I can see.

Victor's B. bicolor did seem so much like mine, but that only shows the top, which would be darker when not fully open. The pictures I am seeing of B bicolor show a different flower form and larger leaves, plus of course the colour, which is difficult often to gauge in pics unless you know it matches your own!

Plus the fact that J Parkers are selling it, and that's where mine came from. Over the years I have had their catalogue I have seen very little change in their product range, but they do have the occasional new plant. It's a wonder they still send me one, the last twice I bought from them I had lots of problems, got a voucher first time, second time I just couldn't be bothered. I paid a lot of money for a Zantedeschia Schwarzwalder (which took a lot of doing!) and 3 Z albomaculata, only one Z maculata grew, the others were like cork. That was only one of the many disasters from them, temptation won't get me again!

I wish we had Monarchs here, but we do have other pretty ones!

This is a snooty butterfly, it has it's nose in the air!
