Still, other than an earlier experiment with tomatoes, this is my first attempt at growing things from seeds; as with those, I've started a lot, expecting a high rate of failure, and been rewarded with a resounding success. I've got a smaller set of the same three varieties, which I nicked and soaked using a second set of instructions, cobbled together by sort of "averaging" a number of different sources on the web. Virtually all of those have started to sprout, as well. I've got to learn to stop underestimating Mother Nature's ability to compensate for an inept gardener. |
