Well, today I worked hard inbetween errands like to the indoor farmers market, flea market, checking out a few places about some bricks (got a few more tips), and getting my cholesterol checked for free, LOL
Got up first thing early this morning to finish emptying my truck of the sand. Did errands, etc. Took the truck to get another load of sand. One guy at the brick place told me to get what they call "concrete sand" which has sand and what I call a smaller jagged edge pea gravel. The place I went to was to have it but didn't. Guess it is expensive and most places don't carry it.

So came home and unload it. As you can see from the picture, have filled in the space totally. In the front, you will see a level that I use and my makeshift tamper, LOL I asked around on what to tamp the sand down with and one guy suggested a brick with holes. Well, this one was broken and not so heavy to tote space after space.
Geez, what a job! Going over and over that darn sand. Still need to do it more and more to try to get it level and smooth.
