As for blowing or brushing, I use a small fan to keep air circulation going on my tomato and pepper seedlings (see photo). I do not talk to them, but I am careful when tending to them to think pure positive thoughts about how healthy they look and how good and tasty they will be some day. Also, for tomatoes and peppers, I bottom water only. Butr for my Anthuriums, I mist frequently.
