UniQueTreasures wrote: LOL Probably a LOT more than I did. Some neighbors that we've known for 15 years moved up to Kountze. They didn't have the space for this stove. It's only 2 years old and she doesn't cook much anyway so it's had very little use. She said they paid $2800 and they got a good deal. Hubby has done minor trim work on both houses for them and for $1500 cash, said we could come and get it. We are going to be doing a major remodel/update on my kitchen in the VERY near future (now that hunting season is over). The "rinky dink" stove I'd picked out was almost that much. I love that it's gas stove and electric ovens. And it's self cleaning! Yeah I love it! It's amazing how much that new stove makes me WANT to cook! Over the past year I've been collecting some really nice stainless steel/copper pots and skillets at thrift stores, and not really been able to use them. This week I've cooked red beans and rice, gumbo, and a waybigo pot roast. I've made pizza. brownies, muffins and crescent rolls. Sounds like what most normal folks cook. Not having the right appliances to cook with has really made me get creative with cooking. The good thing is that I shouldn't have to cook all weekend long, what with all of the leftovers. (neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer) That was me steering this conversation back to being a proud plant parent. This is my lantana with one of it's frequent visitors. This little guy sits here all the time, hoping to find his lunch. |
