Don't give up yet Becky.. It takes a while to get regulars at your feeders. If other people in your area are already feeding birds, it's only a matter of time. Just hold out for the long haul, they will come see you soon enough. Some of these little guys come around and you might never see them unless you have a window or a blind to see them through. Placing a nice (even pricey), suet cake in front of a window with no screen is an idea that happened to work here. It takes the right birds a fair amount of time to discover a secluded suet cake.

This Dove was real curious about the window.. she went for several swings on the hanging feeder, (like a kid), even though she didn't want anything to eat from it. She liked checking it out.. so did several other birds. Like the above Kinglet, & Mockingbird... also Mourning dove hopped up there to have a look. I was outside working a lot today with the wonderful weather too, so it threw a few of them off.
