I have already planted out rosemary 'Arp' (just to see if I could get it to overwinter', lavender 'Lacy Frills' (white) and tri-color sage, that I will transplant if they do make it thru til spring. I am wintersowing 4 kinds of basil (Minette, Magical Michael, Red Rubin, Thai Siam Queen), dill, fennel (bronze & Florence), triple-curl parsley, nasturtiums. I don't know yet what else. definitely garlic in the fall. I have several other lavenders and tons of creeping thymes growing in other places, and some violas (I include edible flowers in the herbs). I haven't had an herb garden in a while, and I'll have a lot more room here after I get it going, so there's lots of possibilities. If you haven't seen it, here is the design for the heart of the 'Hundred Acre Herb Garden'. The heart is made with graduated heights of chimney flue liners. |
