Do I know that sound amylen? Yes! I hear it several times a day in the fall. Only about 25-50 birds are right here beside my window in the rosebush. My next door neighbor also feeds birds, scads of them! Two kinds of hawks come through here on a regular basis, Sharp-shinned and Coops. I am situated on a high point in this sub-division too.. that may also attribute to being hawk-eyed. LOL! I haven't witnessed any actual attacks in my view here in the back, but I have seen a couple aftermaths of them.

Such as last Sunday where some lucky hawk abscounded with one of the Collard Doves.;; I looked away for a moment and looked back. All I saw were big wings and feathers flying in the air... then they rested softly on the ground in a concentric pile of nature happening.

That is a really good picture, good detail!
