Well thanks all..
Robert..great links... Ive got the single and double lei's construction from the lecture... I guess I'll keep them growing on the tree... needing all of them for a lei..I'd be left with bare limbs if I harvested..
all of the flowers are on one tree..so they are all alike right now...in a week or two others should be blooming.... pictured here is a better picture of this tree...all of the plueria flowers are on limbs on one trunk.. it has just spread out .. to about 7' x 7' at the top..this 7' x 7' tree...came through the 16" x 36" hatch a couple of months ago.. I fold the limbs up together..and tape them together.. and have it lowered onto my sholder .[ got to be 150 pounds for that one also ] to descend the ladder to my apartment below the roof garden.. there I cut the tape...and they spring back out to it's grand size..to no apparent harm.. unless the 7 flower heads are flowering in anticipation of imminant death.. it believes must surely be on the way after such a trip...
Lovely table Clair... great plumiering... I'm always thinking I'm going to make one.. and never find the time to get into a pottery shop.. I want to do a series of square plates made as a beach landscape..with two blue sections [water/sky abovw/below..and a white sand area.. inbetween...made with three colors of clay.. and a clear glaze.. OH...like the candle...I saw a way to make a wine table chiller that looks similar..flowers imbeded in the ice it is made from... might make one with a few plumeria flowers today..to show you... nothing like a new project.. toalow one to neglect the ones already on the agenda...
