I agree with fleurs... you win the prize for most unique! Very interesting! I used to poke orange halves onto a nail that I had nailed through a piece of wood and then on to the top rail of our deck. I don't have that set up anymore and have been squooshing orange pieces into the areas where branches of a birch tree meet the trunk. This isn't working well as the larger birds like the mockingbirds peck the oranges so hard that they fall out. So I'm going to think of (or buy) something else. I'm hoping some day to lure orioles as I have seen them in town - just not at my house lol.
