Looking back it's easy enough to say I shouldn't have let it go that long but when the foliage isn't even visible the jobs seem to remain hidden. That was clump #2. I still had clump #1 out of the ground, in addition to the bag of pink daffodils I bought. Then the crocuses I found, the endless mountains of muscari....... I'll be thrilled to see a foot of snow.

jjpm - are you planning to plant a drift of tulips? They look so nice that way and their foliage dies down faster than the daffodils - about a month and it's turned brown and can be removed without harm to the bulb. They're easier to plant in a big drift, too.
