UniQueTreasures wrote: Thanks Folks! I know I'm partial to her cuz I'm her MawMaw. She is such a wonderful baby. I don't think Hillary and Dean have any idea just how fortunate they truly are to have been blessed with such a happy baby. She rarely cries, unless she's tired. Then it's only until she lays her head down and then BAM she's out like a lightbulb. She does snore, but nothing like her Daddy. He's got a terrible sleeping disorder, sleep apnea. When they stayed here right after JoJo was born, I heard him snoring clear at the other end of the house. He's had surgery a month or so ago to have some "things" removed, including the hangy down thing. He's got a terrible ear infection now, which is why I was keeping JoJo here. Please keep Dean in your prayers folks. JoJo's snoring isn't that loud, but you can surely tell who's child she is. From what I've heard, this runs in Dean's family. Two of my GF's enclosed today. I didn't release them, even though it was warm this morning. Connie's absolutely right about the temps here this morning. I was putting a small sheet of plastic across my big windows in the back. There is a line of bromeliads there that I wanted to protect from the temps I knew were coming today. I was sweating up a storm because I'd dressed for the coming chill. I headed to Connie's at about noon. Within just a few minutes of arriving there, we had to close up the shop where she was tinting because the cool wind was blowing in bigtime. By 12:30 it was COLD. Then it started misting rain. Just made it that much colder. I heard on the radio this morning that the temps dropped 30 degrees within an hour in San Antonio between 5 and 6 am. Our weather normally parallels with San Antonio. It's like it travels the 300 miles down Interstate 10 to land on my house. I usually use my Mom as my weather woman. HAHAHAHA She's notorious for letting us know what the weather is no matter her location (in San Antonio or in Virginia where she spends 6 months of the year). I found 2 of the Monarchs at the top, not "Jing" (but at least they're thinking about it) when I got home this afternoon. I put some Lantana into the cage for the GF's to feed on. I've brought all of my milkweed plants into the house because I didn't want to take any chances that it would freeze since I still have 14 cats to feed. I also brought in half of my herb plants and covered the rest with a shower curtain tented by a bamboo pole. Pepper, it's good to see you here in the BF forum. What kind of butterflies do you have there in Missouri? Do you have snow yet? Oh what I wouldn't give to see some snow here in Southeast Texas. I wouldn't want to drive in it.... but to play in it. I've always wanted to make a snow angel. But I've never seen enough to do that.... at least that I know of. We had an ice storm here several years ago. The whole city practically shut down for several days because of power outages, etc. I don't want all that ice, but some snow would be lovely! And if the power would go out, I'd just go to Connie's house like we all did in the ice storm. She has a wood burning stove and we camped there for days. We all had kids and things were cramped, but we sure had lots of fun. I suppose it would be me and my girls and their kids now. Are you ready for us Connie? Got plenty of wood??? HAHAHAHAHA Funny how one thing leads to another, to another.... Here's a better photo of JoJo. She ate her first piece of bread the other night. Hillary got out my camera and used a "whole roll of film" in a matter of 8 minutes. Good thing for digital! :-) |
