Thanks for the kind words. Actually this is the first year I have successfully collected seeds, believe it or not! It is so darn windy here, by the time the pods are fully ripe, all the wee seeds have scattered everywhere. This year I harvested a lot of them barely still green without the openings under the cap. I think they will probably have a decent germination rate, now that I have figured out how to get some.

I only harvested from my large round garden where the Shirley poppies have white picotee edges, or are white centers blending to color on the outer edges etc. My favorite garden. We will see what they do, I am digging up part of the big rectangle which got a bit out of control and will try the seeds in there.

I had the biggest bloom of poppies ever this summer and I people were slowly driving by, stopping, and so on. People we did not even know would stop us in the supermarket and comment on them!

I'll add a pic of a painting I did that became an architectural element in a home. I love poppies backlit by the dawn light. My favorite time of day in the garden.
